Garmin eTrex Venture HC - is only for hunters, fishermen and Geocaching?

When I bought my GPS Garmin eTrex Venture HC, I was excited that I could now return to the hard water fishing "hot spot" over and over again without any problem. ("Hard water", "ice fishing" of fish when they are not aware).

The first winter in use have been very pleased with the ease of returning to a few meters of the favorite places on a lake so large that the coast was the distant horizon and no visible landmarks currently met. Iuse a couple of times to walk to the local wildlife refuge during the hot season, but for most of my eTrex Venture HC just sat on my shelf for your trip next winter. Then, one day after reading about another of my passions, "Wild trade for profit, I found some other uses for my Garmin.

Every spring I take time off from work to track "Queen" of the forest ... the morels. Not only do I enjoy eating these delicious mushrooms,but I also sell and collect pounds of compensation to be paid fairly for my years as property taxes, and then some. Many "eating mushrooms are secret places, coming back every year for hunting, drag season and also have unique opportunities to identify good places to grow the mushrooms could. This is where I made a" ha ha "Moment had. In the spring, only when the leaves sprout, it is difficult to translate your favorite place in the heart of the forest, log on to check morels. (I'm looking for the dead andDying elms)

What I did was with my belly extrex hc to indicate the location of the elms in the summer of last year ... I have slightly above the green canopy of the forest ... and if the conditions are right, the next spring were literally went right with my handheld GPS and earned my reward.

This use of my Garmin Etrex saved me untold time in the woods in search of hot spots, which in recent years has taken a lot of scanning the rows of treesthrough all the leaves in search of the dead branch of the Elm. With my PDA I can go directly to the sites previously marked, and the time saved increases my income in one of the best years I ever had. Needles to say, it's always with me when hiking or exploring public land that marks the spot next Morel'm Springs.

I also use my Garmin Venture 'brand' many other valuable resources, while in the woods: LEGAL beds weeds, trees, points, BlackberryPatches, Black Willow stands, wild vines, the positions Gensing and many other crops capable and productive by nature.
